I’m just sharing this fish – detail from a larger piece done a few days ago.
I just love this fish. He makes me think of prehistoric times, I don’t know why. I love the grungy look, the dark patches.
It was a result from one of the assignments in the current year long class by Carla and Steve Sonheim in which they share one video every day for 365 days ( #365 – Activate your art brain. ) This technique that Carla shared this week, it rocks.
Exploring different ways of presenting drawings in 2D and 3D.
These are part of a series of drawings which I call White Noise Drawings; the repetitive mark-making has helped to alleviate the inevitable end-of-term mental and intellectual static. My brain has begun to shift down a gear.
I enjoy exploring the different forms that drawings can take, and this has become embedded in my practice. My work often starts with drawing and progresses into making, representing, I suppose, a cycle of thinking.
